Ming Tsai (1964- ) grew up in California and studied at Yale, Le Cordon Bleu and Cornell University. His acclaimed restaurant, Blue Ginger outside of Boston, was called one of the best new restaurants of 1998 by Esquire magazine, and in 2002, he won the James Beard Award for Best Chef in the Northeast. He has since opened two other restaurants
He rose to fame as the host of Food Network's"Ming's Quest" and "East Meets West with Ming Tsai," for which he won an Emmy.
Ming is an advocate for the disclosure of allergens on menus.
