Thomas Keller (born October 14, 1955) is an American chef, restaurateur, and cookbook writer
After a career in Rhode Island, New York, New York State & France he opened his award winning restaurants, The French Laundry in 1994 in Yountville California, and Per Se in New York in 2006. He is the only American chef to have been awarded simultaneous three star Michelin ratings for two different restaurants.
Thomas is heavily involved in the US Bocuse D'Or team. He has also consulted on several movies, perhaps most famously 'Ratatouille' including creating the layered fine dining version of the namesake dish.
