| Virignia Hill became a microwave demonstrator with the Sharp Corporation in 1977. She soon realised that there was a need for more consumer education on microwave cooking and established her own consultancy, the Microwave Cooking Centre, in 1980. To reach a larger audience than she could through her classes, in 1982 she produced The All Australian Microwave Recipe Book and an accompanying video. She has since had a number of books published. In addition to her consultancy and classes, Virginia Hill writes an occasional column in the Melbourne Age and broadcasts weekly on radio 3AW. |
