Jean-Anthelme (born Belley, 1755; died Saint-Denis, 1826) was a famous French Magistrate and Gastronome. Exiled during the Revolution, he returned to France in 1797. His book Physiologie du Goût ou Méditations de gastronomie appeared in bookshops just two months before he died.
