Mary Frances Kennedy Fisher (born Michigan 1908; died California 1992) is widely considered to be one of the greatest American food writers of the twentieth century. In 1929, newly married, MFK Fisher moved to Dijon, France with her husband where she lived and learned to love food.
In 1932 she returned to the USA and began to write. She wrote over 20 books, most of which deal with food and eating well. Her culinary essays are considered American classics.
