Rumi: food of Middle Eastern appearance - a conversation with Joseph Abboud

Tuesday, Nov 21, 2023 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Location:
Books for Cooks
115-121 Victoria St, Queen Victoria Market Melbourne VIC 3000

We're celebrating the launch of Joseph Abboud's new cookbook Rumi: food of Middle Eastern appearance.  Come and join us!

Joseph Abboud's restaurant Rumi is an enduring Melbourne icon and one of our favourite recommendations for out-of-towners; its just around the corner from home.

Proudly of "Middle Eastern Appearance" because its origins are a little bit Lebanese, a little bit Persian, and a little bit Turkish, Joseph's food is egalitarian, soulful and hospitable meant for sharing and caring. At Rumi, Joseph takes the best of Middle Eastern cuisines and makes them his own.

And now, he's sharing them with us all so you can make them your own.

If you've eaten at Rumi, you'll be pleased to know that all the classic Rumi dishes are included; and if you haven't, well you are in for a treat.

We are very excited to be hosting Joseph to celebrate and talk about his new book.

Please join us on Tuesday 21st November for what will be a wonderful conversation, full of laughs and punctuated by some great food.

Tickets are limited.

Yes.  Copies will be available for signing and purchase on the night.  If you can't attend, we can organise to post signed  and personalised copies to you.
