"Tarts are, in our opinion, the perfect dessert. They are the one pastry form that is able to transcend all genres, from top-end dining to regional bakeries"

If you watched Masterchef's Dessert Masters, then you know why we are excited about this new pastry book! If you didn't, well you are in for a treat.

Chef, then pastry chef, then Head Pastry Chef at Dinner by Heston, Gareth Whitton's hospitality career came to a halt with the twin blows of closure of Dinner by Heston in early 2020 and the pandemic that set in shortly after.

Tarts Anon is the quintessential covid-19 side-hustle leading Gareth and his partner Catherine cooking first at home, then to a bigger home with a bigger kitchen then to shared kitchen space and now a stand alone patisserie in Cremorne. At the same time Gareth entered the reality show for professional pastry chefs "Dessert Masters" going on to become the first Dessert Master.

Tarts Anon is all about tarts. And not just any tarts. Sublime, thin crust classic delicious and unique tarts where every element has a purpose and the recipe has been refined to be the best version possible. Quite simply sweet and savoury tart brilliance.

We are very excited to be hosting Gareth and Catherine and baking from the book. You can expect bold and enlightening ideas and tastes, and a wonderful conversation about the redemption of baking and pastry and the importance of striving for perfection.

As usual we will be cooking from the book and serving up tastes.

Please join us on Tuesday 13th August for a wonderful intimate conversation with Gareth Whitton

Tickets are limited. Please note all tastes will contain gluten.
